DAVID'S BIOGRAPHY:

We are pleased to welcome Dave Tran to our coaching staff this season. Dave is a very competitive coach that adheres to the philosophy of deliberate training, player conditioning, systematic strategy, and educational values.

In 1994 to 2001, Dave played competitive water polo at both a national and international level. He is a former member of the Junior Men's National team and formerly part of the Men's National Team program. In 2001-2004, Dave coached with Tsunami on various levels (bantam, cadet, juvenile and senior women).

For the past four years, Dave has focused his energy towards a career in teaching, but his heart has always remained with water polo. Dave returns to our club this year as coach in charge of the Developmental Program and as the coach of the Bantam Boys High Performance Team.
15 years of playing and coaching experience highlights:
- Team captain of the Edmonton Tsunami cadet and juvenile men's team
- Received numerous awards: National All-star and MVP
- Member of the 2001 Men's Junior National Team
- Team Alberta Head Coach of the U17 girls team
- Has coached and trained several Tsunami players that have gone on to the National team program.
- NCCP level 1 & 2 coach certification.
- 4 years experience in coaching junior and senior high school basketball
- High School math and physical education teacher at Vimy Ridge Academy (sports school)
