CYTI LEAGUE:
This year Tsunami started the competition season by participating in the City League sponsored by the Alberta Water Polo Association. The City League was organized at the Spruce Groove recreation centre and the first games were played on November 8 where the Tsunami Cadets defeated the Polo Bears 10 to 2! The Tsunami Masters team, supported by a few young players, played their first game against the Capitals. In a very interesting game The Masters were able to outscore Capitals and win their first game of the season.
The second City League competition was held on November 20th and the Tsunami Cadets were in full strength and ready for new challenges. Our two members from Calgary joined the team practice on Saturday and participated in the game. They went in with a new line up and successfully defeated the Polo Bears again, 11 to 5. In the second game of the evening, The Tsunami Masters began with a slight lead. However, by the second half our team began to tire and the Capitals were able to take advantage of this, sneaking by with a score of 9 to 5.
