Q: How did you first start playing water polo?

A: I started summer swimming for the Burnaby Barracudas at the age of 6. The club also had a water polo team and a family friend invited me to try water polo as I was a strong swimmer. After a lot of convincing from my dad I decided to give it a try. As soon as I got into the water with a ball I was hooked!

Q: What is it about water polo that made you fall in love with the sport?

A: Being able to swim fast and score goals was all I needed to fall in love with a sport.

Q: What is your favourite water polo memory?

A: My favourite water polo memory would be winning the U16 National Club Championships with Pacific Storm. There is no better feeling than winning in OT!

Q: What made you want to be a coach?

A: I love giving back to the community. Water polo has given so much to me from lasting friendships to NCAA scholarships. Being able to see new athletes go through this process is really cool.

Q: Who was your most influential coach?

A: Ian Goodman was my first ever water polo coach. He was the one who really convinced me to start playing. I wouldn't be the player or coach I am today without him.

Q: Who is an athlete you admire?

A: Russell Wilson. He is such an amazing athlete, super humble, and a great role model.

Q: What is your favourite quote?

A: Trust the process.
