The Edmonton Tsunami Water Polo Club offers high-performance training and competition for athletes in the Edmonton Zone. At Tsunami we value the importance of dedication, sportsmanship, confidence, and teamwork. With athletes currently on Provincial Teams, National Teams, and competing for NCAA Collegiate Programs, Tsunami supports student-athletes with an array of athletic goals.

The Tsunami U14 Bridge Program is designed to introduce community and provincial athletes to high-performance water polo. With Team Alberta and Water Polo Canada coaches on staff, our U14 program is an excellent opportunity for athletes looking to increase their training load. In order to be eligible for the Tsunami U14 program athletes must be primary member with another U14 club in the zone. The U14 Bridge Program will consist of one water session and one optional cross-training session with Goliath High Performance Training each week. U14 Bridge athletes will have the opportunity to train with Tsunami NCL teams each week. These practices will be an opportunity for U14 athletes to be challenged and mentored by our NCL atheltes.

Tsunami will not compete in the Alberta Water Polo U14 Provincial League but will offer optional U15 trips for athletes in the bridge program. These trips will be announced at the beginning of the season and consist of out-of-province trips for the U15 team to compete at a Canadian tournament together and an international training trip with our NCL teams. Athletes involved in the U14 bridge program will be eligible to play-up with Tsunami U17 NCL teams based on coach discretion and roster availability.

" Being apart of the Tsunami Water Polo Club was one of the best experiences I have ever had. At Tsunami I met some of my best friends and got to be apart of an amazing team. I learned a lot about myself not only as an athlete, but also as an individual. Tsunami taught me how to embrace new challenges, overcome adversity, and work as a team. Go Tsunami Go! "

" Tsunami has a huge place in my heart. Growing up playing with the club has taught me important lessons. For 15 years I have been with Tsunami and for 15 years I have worn the EWPC emblem with gratitude for everything that the club has provided me. Besides my a life outside of water polo, Tsunami gave me a platform to reach my personal water polo goals. "

" For me, playing with Tsunami was about so much more than just water polo. It was about growing as an athlete and a person with the unwavering support of dedicated and passionate coaches and teammates. I’m thankful for the countless lessons I learned about perseverance, confidence, working towards a goal, and what it truly means to be part of a team. "

" I couldn’t have asked for a better experience at Tsunami. It is more than just my team, it is my family.  I have learned more than I ever could have imagined from not only my coaches but also my teammates. At Tsunami you learn to trust and rely on others just as much as you learn to hold yourself accountable to your team.  I cant wait to see how this club develops in the future. "
