The Edmonton Tsunami Water Polo Club welcomes players of all ages looking for competitive fun and a great workout. Not a strong swimmer? No worries! Novice water polo players, of any swimming ability, have the potential to be great players. If you're willing to work hard and play hard, that's all that matters! Now come out and have some fun!

POLO PUPS PROGRAM: (girls and boys aged 7 to 11 yrs). Swim lessons with a water polo component. Spring program starts March 13th and runs until May 8th 2010, Saturdays at NAIT Pool from 5 to 6pm. The Mission of the Edmonton Tsunami Water Polo Clubis to provide top quality water polo instruction and to compete at the national and international level. We strive to build self-esteem, character, teamwork, and a strong work ethic, and we encourage all players to apply these values to all aspects of their lives. 

 

NEWS:

HEAD COACH POSITION: The Edmonton Water Polo Club, home of theTsunami teams, is seeking a highly energetic individual for the role of Head Coach. In this role you will be responsible for leading all coaching efforts in the club. This will include on deck facilitation for all practices and providing leadership,direction and support to assistant coaches. This position includes coaching at all tournaments including local and out of town competitions. This position includes overseeing all coaching "paperwork" and deadlines.

The ideal candidate for this job will posess exceptional leadership qualities aimed to inspire athletes to excel towards achieving the goals set before them. The ability to motivate and drive the team forward in a positive direction is a key priority. A combination of maturity,experience ,diplomacy,professionalism and a sincere enthusiasm for working with young athletes and helping them achieve their best. Those canidates that can demontrate strong organizational and administrative skills will be favoured when other skills and experience are considered to be of equal value.

Qualifications: Minimum Level One NCCP Coaching Certification combined with High Performance level coaching experience.

Hours of work: Weekly average practice is 15 hours plus attendance at tournaments throughout the season.
