The Edmonton Water Polo Club is dedicated to supporting athletes in their water polo aspirations. Whether this is to compete at a provincial, national, or international level, or to immerse themselves in a healthy sporting environment, Tsunami supports athletes in their goals. With players on the Alberta Provincial Team, Water Polo Canada National Team, and others receiving NCAA scholarships in the United States, Tsunami is proud to offer a high-performance water polo in Edmonton.

Tsunami supports our athletes both in the pool and in the classroom as we encourage athletes to grow into dedicated, focused, and team-driven student-athletes. Competing in the Water Polo Canada (WPC) National Championship League (NCL) Western Conference at both the U15, U17, U19 and MLWP levels, Tsunami travels across Western Canada to compete against teams from Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia. To be competitive at WPC's most elite level, Tsunami NCL teams train a total of 7.5 hours each week. Through our partnership with Goliath High Performance Training Tsunami offers an optional strength and conditioning program. Goalie-specific training, multi-sport cross- training, and guest positional coaches are a few other highlights for this elite program.

Tsunami NCL athletes are eligible to participate in the Edmonton Regional Development Centre. The RDC is a Water Polo Canada endorsed program designed to offer athletes with Provincial Team, National Team, and post-secondary water polo aspirations the opportunity for additional training and competition. More info for the Edmonton RDC can be found on the Alberta Water Polo website.

Excited for the upcoming season, Tsunami's NCL program will reinforce our club's position among Canada's top teams as we not only develop talented athletes but outstanding individuals.

" I wouldn’t trade my time with Tsunami for anything. The older I get, the more I realize how much I have learned from this sport and being immersed in the Tsunami culture. Tsunami has given a lot to be thankful for, many life skills I am proud of, and an abundance of memories and relationships I will always cherish. I and I am forever grateful to be part of the family. "

" Being a member of Tsunami taught me not just how to play a sport, but how to be a better teammate. During my time at Tsunami I developed both the mental and physical aspects of competition. Tsunami emphasized the importance of the student portion of being student-athletes by encouraging us to be the best we can be both in the classroom and in the pool. "

" Tsunami was more than just a club to me, it was a family. When we had games, we went to battle together as brothers. Not only did my teammates and coaches push me to be my best in the water, they also wanted the best for me outside of the sport and taught me numerous life skills that I’ll be able to use for the rest of my life. I will always be grateful to be part of the Tsunami family. "

" Tsunami was a family for me. The members of this club will always have a special place in my heart. I was able to make life-long friendships and connections. Tsunami taught me many things such as how to push through when I am frustrated, how to get out of my comfort zone, and how to be mentally resilient. Thank you Tsunami for a memorable year. "
